The knee is an important joint. It works tirelessly — bending, flexing, carrying us about our everyday lives. Yet this essential tool in everyday mobility is also largely forgotten until something goes wrong.

On these pages you'll find a wealth of information about the knee; how it works, how it can be damaged, and how we can repair it. There are details of advanced surgical procedures undertaken by myself and my colleagues, together with example exercises and rehabilitative programmes that are tailored for our patients.

I must stress that these pages are provided for general information only — you should never undertake any part of a programme unless instructed by your consultant or physiotherapist.

If you have had or are about to undertake knee surgery in my care, I hope that you will find these pages useful. As always, if you have any further questions please don't hesitate to contact my office.

Best wishes,
